Darlene Molnar

ABOUT

Darlene’s style is contemporary leaning, often with a drop of playful charm or gentle edginess. She works on a small number of projects at a time so that she can lead the design from conceptual exploration to completion.  Her dedication to each project, coupled with her devotion to developing individualized interiors, brings an unmatchable value to her clients.

Darlene holds a Master of Arts degree in Interior Design from the Corcoran College of Art and is both NCIDQ-Certified and LEED Accredited.  Her education includes design studies with Sotheby’s London, Parsons Paris, and the Danish Institute for Study Abroad. In addition to her varied interior design experience, she has designed products and furniture, taught in the Interior Architecture & Design Department at George Washington University, and contributed editorial content to several shelter publications.  Her work across these disciplines brings a unique design sensibility to each project.

After several years with a top architectural firm in Washington, DC, Darlene opened her namesake design studio in 2010.  Shortly after, she was featured on HGTV and named both a “Hot New Talent” by Home & Design Magazine and “Best in the City” by DC Modern Luxury.

After more than a decade in the industry and with hundreds of projects in her portfolio, Darlene recalibrated and relaunched in 2023 with a focus on uniting her signature style with the distinctive personality of each project she takes on.
